If you've ever needed a cleaner, a plumber, or a handyman in Australia — you know the drill. You scroll through a marketplace full of profiles you can't verify. You message ten tradies hoping one replies. You worry about who's actually showing up at your door. And after the job's done, you've got no idea if the platform actually has your back if something goes wrong. We thought there had to be a better way. The story behind EZ EZ started with a simple frustration: why is it so hard to book someone trustworthy for a job at home? We saw friends getting burned by no-shows. Neighbours pulling out of bookings the night before because the tradie "couldn't make it anymore." Parents worrying about who they were letting through the door while the kids were home. And on the other side, we saw genuinely great tradespeople — small business owners, family operators, hard workers — losing money on lead-fee platforms that took their cash whether or not a job ever happened. The problem wasn't a lack of marketplaces. The problem was that the marketplaces had stopped caring about trust. So in early 2026, we set out to build something different. A platform where every provider is verified before they can take a single booking. Where customers never pay a fee just to use the service. And where the people doing the work get treated fairly — paid only when they actually earn. That platform is EZ.
What makes EZ different Every provider is verified — properly We don't just check that someone has an account. Before any provider can list on EZ, we verify their ABN through the Australian Business Register, confirm their public liability insurance is current, and check their government-issued ID. The badge on their profile means we've personally vetted them. Not just trusted what they typed into a sign-up form. Customers never pay fees Other platforms charge customers a "booking fee" — sometimes up to $25 — just for the privilege of paying. We don't think that's fair. On EZ, the price you see is the price you pay. Always. Providers only pay when they earn We charge providers a flat 15% commission on completed bookings. That's it. No lead fees. No pay-to-play. No "credits" you have to top up to even contact a customer. If you don't get a job, you don't pay a cent. That's how it should be. Real human support, when it matters If something goes wrong, you can actually talk to a human at EZ. Not a chatbot. Not a ticket that gets closed without a response. A real person, in Australia, who will help you sort it out. We think that's the bare minimum — but you'd be surprised how rare it's become.
What we believe Home services should feel safe. When you let someone into your home, you should know exactly who they are — not hope you got lucky. Local businesses deserve a fair go. The tradies, cleaners, gardeners and handypeople running small operations are the backbone of the Australian economy. They shouldn't have to pay for leads that never convert. Trust is earned, not assumed. Anyone can claim to be trustworthy. We'd rather show it — through verification, transparency, real reviews from real customers, and standing behind every booking. Simple beats clever. We're not trying to reinvent home services with AI matching algorithms or tokenised loyalty programs. We're just trying to make booking someone for a job at your home as straightforward and safe as it should be.
Where we're going EZ launched in Australia, and we're starting where we live — building a strong foundation in our home market before we go anywhere else. We're working with local councils, real estate agencies, and trade associations to make sure every provider on the platform meets the standards Australians expect.
